1 Warm the engine to operating temperature.
2 Turn the ignition on.
3 Connect the terminals with a your own wire link, (Click here for details) , as shown in the diagram to your leftfor 2 seconds then remove(Only connect terminals for 2 seconds once with ignition ON, twice will erase all codes).
4 The fault codes may be shown on either a Check Engine Light (CEL) or an Exhaust Light.
5 Read codes as described in the Code Format Description below.
6 Press the continue button to enter the code numbers and get the code description.

Code Format Description
Each code is made up of two series of flashes.
The long flashes indicate the 'tens' digits.
The short flashes indicate the 'ones' digits.
A long pause separates each code sequence.
Code Format Diagram shows code No. 12.
If no long flashes are detected, the code is a straight count of short flashes.
