Auto Repair Manual - How to read codes (No Special Tools Needed)

1 Warm the vehicle to operating temperature if possible.

2 Stop vehicle, place in park or neutral and turn ignition OFF.

3 Turn ignition ON and wait 15 seconds

4 Ground connector terminal with the your own jumper cable for 2-5 secondsthen remove.

5 Codes will be emitted via SRS Warning Light.

6 Read codes as described in the Code Format Description below.

7 Press the continue button to enter the code numbers and get the code description(s).

• The code is a straight count of flashes, 5 flashes represents code 5.

• A longer pause separates each code.

• Code Format Diagram shows code No. 5.

• The SRS warning lamp illuminates continuously after the last code
