Auto Repair Manual - How to read codes (No Special Tools Needed)

1 Drive the vehicle until transmission reaches operating temperature.

2 Stop the vehicle, place gear selector into D position.

3 Turn ignition ON.

4 Move power switch to IN position. Power light should come on.

5 Depress the throttle pedal and release.

6 Read codes as described in the Code Format Description below.

7 Press the continue button to enter the code numbers and get the code description.

Code Format Description

• The Code consists of continuous flashes however each code differs by frequency.

• Code 2 is indicated by four flashes per second.

• Code 1 is indicated by one flash every two seconds.

• Code 0 is indicated by one flash every second.
