Tip:the single pin connector can be blue or green and is located with a six pin connector of the same colour. Always use the blue type where both coloured connector are fitted.

IMPORTANT:If after you turn the ignition ON the Transmission Light does not flash, then are either NO fault codes OR the vehicle has not been put into diagnostics mode correctly. To test the connection generate a fault code by disconnecting the throttle position sensor, crank or run the engine and re-run the Test.

1 Drive the vehicle until transmission reaches operating temperature.

2 Stop the vehicle, place in park, or neutral and turn ignition OFF.

3 Earth the single terminal of the diagnostic connector as shown in the diagram to your left.

4 Turn ignition ON. The transmission light should start falshing on the dash.

5 Read codes as described in the Code Format Description below.

6 Press the continue button to enter the code numbers and get the code description.

Code Format Description

• Each code is made up of two series of flashes.

• The long flashes indicate the 'tens' digits.

• The short flashes indicate the 'ones' digits.

• A long pause separates each code sequence.

• Code Format Diagram shows code No. 12.
