Auto Repair Manual - How to read codes (No Special Tools Needed)

NOTE -The following instructions only apply to Range Rover 2.5D Turbo

1 Drive vehicle until it reaches operating temperature.

2 Stop the vehicle, place it in park or neutral and turn ignition OFF.

2 Connect the terminals 4 & 15 using your own jumper wire, (Click here for details) , as shown in the diagram.

3 Turn ignition ON.

4 Read codes as described in the Code Format Description below.

5 Press the continue button to enter the code numbers and get the code description(s).

Code Format Description

The code will be flashed through the Check Engine Light in the following format:

• Before the code, there is a short flash and long pause of the light.

• The two digits are indicated by two series of flashes.

• The first series of flashes indicates the multiples of ten, the second series of flashes indicates the single units.

• Each series consists of a number of 1-second flashes, separated by a 1.5-second pause, there is a long pause between each code.
