1 Drive vehicle until it reaches operating temperature.
2 Stop the vehicle, place it in park or neutral and turn ignition OFF.
3 Codes can be displayed on the two digit display.
4 The display is located under the passengers seat, you may need to remove a cover to access the display unit. (Trouble codes only available for models with display unit)
5 Switch ignition on to position II.
6 *You may need to disconnect the data link connector located behind the right hand side of the dash, coloured white with 5 pins in plug.
7 Switch OFF the ignition and wait for the load relay to drop out.
8 Put the ignition to position II.
9 Fault code will be displayed or display will be blank if there are no codes present.
10 Repeat these steps to get the next fault code.
11 Press the continue button to get code description(s).
NOTE -American assembled Land Rovers after 1996 will be OBD2 and may not flash codes.
