Auto Repair Manual - How to read codes (No Special Tools Needed)

Note:only one code can be accessed at a time, clear the fault code to get the next one.

1 Drive the vehicle until it reaches operating temperature.

2 Stop vehicle, place it in part or neutral and turn ignition OFF.

3 Connect the terminals using your own wire link, (Click here for details) , as shown in the diagram.

4 Turn on the ignition.

5 Codes will be emitted via ABS light on dashboard display.

6 Read codes as described in the Code Format Description below.

7 Press the continue button to enter the code numbers and get the code description(s).

Code Format Description

• Each code is made up of two series of short flashes.

• The first series indicates the Major code group.

• The second series indicates the Minor code group.

• A long pause separates each fault code.

• A shorter pause separates the Major and Minor groups.

• Code Format Diagram shows code No. 32.
