Auto Repair Manual - How to read codes (No Special Tools Needed)
1 Warm the Engine to operating temperature.
2 Turn the ignition ON.
3 Connect the terminals with a your own wire link, (Click here for details) , as shown in the diagram to your leftfor 2 seconds then remove.
NOTE:Only do this once with the ignition ON (twice will erase all codes).
4 The fault codes may be shown on either a Check Engine Light (CEL) or an Exhaust Light.
5 Read codes as described in the Code Format Description below.
6 Press the continue button to enter the code numbers and get the code description.

Code Format Description
Each code is made up of two series of flashes.
The long flashes indicate the 'hundreds' digit, however can be a value up to 13 (eg 13 flashes = Thirteen Hundred).
The short flashes indicate the 'ones' digit, however can a value up to 15.
A long pause separates each code sequence.
The top Code Format Diagram shows code No. 102.
The bottom Code Format Diagram shows code No. 111.
