Auto Repair Manual - How to read codes (No Special Tools Needed)

1 Switch on ignition and check SRS light illuminates.

2 Find the SRS Control Module and the module multi-plug. DO NOT disconnect the multi-plug.

3 Connect a switch, (Click here for details) , between terminal 3 and a suitable earth as shown on the diagram.

4 Close switch for 5 seconds.

5 Codes will be emitted via SRS light on dashboard display.

6 Read codes as described in the Code Format Description below.

7 Press the continue button to enter the code numbers and get the code description(s).

NOTE:Only one code can be displayed at one time. Repair to get the next code.

Code Format Description

• Only one code is displayed at one time. Repair then repeat these steps to get the next code.

• The code is a straight count of flashes, 5 flashes represents code 5.

• A longer pause separates each repetition.

• Code Format Diagram shows code No. 5.
